Richard Myers Richard Myers was born on March 4,1856 in Oil City, Venango County, Pennsylvania. Richard was an oil driller and it appears that he inherited his Father's business, but eventually was forced to sell as the larger Oil Companies forced the smaller ones out of business. Richard married Anna Kuester, daughter of Heinrich and Dora Kuester about 1885. Richard was a very big man and in addition to being about six foot six or taller he was known as the strongest man in the Pennsylvania oil fields. Richard's Wife Anna, died about 1912 in West Virginia. Richard married his second wife, Mary Kelly, about 1918. Richard died in Clendenin, Kanawha County, West Virginia about 1921. Shown here is a picture taken about 1894 of Richard's wife Anna and five of his six children: Irma, Charles, Richard, Felix, and Max. Their last child, John Henry (Jack) Myers was born in 1908.
